Website Submission, Access Code Retrieval and Changing Webmaster Information:
As of 31 January 2004, all flotilla and division website requests will be processed through the DSO-CS.  Please review the revised Auxiliary General Policies regarding websites, and the new FSO/SO-CS Site Submission Form.

  1. New Site Requests for Approval - Before submitting your Site Submission Form, make sure that you, the CS officer, understand that use of the National Auxiliary AIRS site which is governed by their Policy Compliance Agreement.  After reviewing the National Auxiliary AIRS site for policy, go to the Website Submission Process page for further information on the process of getting your site approved.

  2. Requests for new access codes (username/password) - Units frequently request new access codes when there is a change in webmasters.  These requests must now be made by the DSO-CS officer.  All that I need is an email from you, with the full unit number, and a specific request to change the access code.  The DSO-CS will obtain the new access code and send it back to the new webmaster.

  3. Requests for reissuing lost access codes (username/password) - Send the DSO-CS an email with the full unit number, and a specific request to reissue the site's existing access code.  The DSO-CS will obtain a new access code from national and forward this information back to the unit's CS officer or FC and will verify receipt.

  4. Change in webmaster information:  Inform the DSO-CS, by e-mail, if there is a change of webmaster information.  This notification should be made whenever there is a change in unit webmaster, or if a currently listed webmaster changes their email address.  Include the full unit number, and the names and email addresses of the old and new webmasters.  The DSO-CS will pass this information onto national who will change the National Webmaster listing and return an email verifying that the change has been made.

  5. If you would like server space on the national server: If your current auxiliary website is on a non-auxiliary server (private or commercial) and would like to move to the auxiliary national server, please click-on and complete the "Website Approval and Request for Server Space Form."

Annual Website Awards

District 13 "Annual Golden Web Award" 2006

Each year the District Awards Committee recognizes one District 13 Auxiliary (SO-CS and FSO-CS) Webmaster who exemplifies high Webpage standards by awarding the District 13 Golden Web Award.  This most prestigious recognizes the hard work and dedication of one special Division and Flotilla CS officer who best displays the high standards of the CG Auxiliary.

The process is very simple…it is a self-nominating process in early May of each year.  If you strive for excellence and your website shows it, then it's time to be recognized.  To compete, your Website must be on the District Approval List found on http://a130.uscgaux.info/dso-cs/d13websites.htm.  Your site will be judged in the following categories: Public Affairs, Public Education, Vessel Safety Checks, and Technical Merit.

If you'd like to know more about the District 13 Golden Web Award, you can find the District Instruction at http://www.d13cgaux.org/d13web/excom/i-026.pdf.

National's Best of the Web 2007

2006 Best of the WebNow is the time to get your unit websites ready for the 2007 Best of Web "BOW" competition.  Your Website must have received District and National Approval before you can then submit your nominations to the DSO-CS for evaluations.  District nominations will then forwarded to the National competition during the period beginning April 16, 2007 with the *final* deadline for DSO-CS submission being June 15, 2007.  Winners will be announced at the annual National Conference (NACON).  All Flotilla, Division, and District websites are encouraged to participate.  Specific details for the BOW event are posted on AIRS.  Don't forget to check out the CS Guide, which also has a wealth of additional information for Auxiliary websites.

First Place Winners will receive a distinctive 5 Star Logo (similar to this) for their website and a beautiful Trophy will be presented at NACON.  Runners-up will also receive a 1 Star Logo for their websites.  Don't miss your chance to be the Best of the Best!  This Website (District 13 Auxiliary) was honored in 2006, by winning the Best-of-the-Web award.
